“Does the unit support/play 4k DVDs? Yes or no, I understand that 4k DVDs are in a different format and upscaling the pictures has nothing to do with the disk format. I own a 4k 3d DVD player with 4k upscale and can't play 4k formatted DVDs.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Never heard of a 4k DVD. 4k is blu-ray only. This unit will play full UHD 4k blue ray at it's native resolution. It will also upscale standard blu-ray and DVD discs. Sounds like your player is upscale only and will not play actual 4k discs. The UHD 4k players are new and this is the first one for LG. It only just came out a couple of months ago.
