In order to help you, I'd like to know more details about what you heard. My example, it will not be compatible with my Denon S930 if I play 4k bluray disc with Dolby Vision because receiver does not support DV. But I can either play HDR10 version or link hdmi 1 to my TV and hdmi 2 to my receiver to play DV version. This is the best 4k player at affordable cost
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The answer is yes and no. It depends on the year the receiver is made. Newer ones for sure will. Older ones may not. You have to see if it has HDCP 2.2 or newer. This is what is used to make sure you can't record anything that is copy protected. If the receiver is not HDCP 2.2 it simply will show no image, and likely no sound as well. So check the Denon receiver you want to buy and make sure it has HDCP 2.2.
