As you have noted, it is Bluetooth version 4.0 and it supports the SBC and AAC codecs. Released in 2010, the most popular Bluetooth version used today is 4.0. Like Bluetooth version 5.0, it can handle the highest quality wireless audio available, and with plenty of room to spare. This means that unless a higher-quality codec is developed, it doesn't matter how much better or faster the Bluetooth versions get: Your music isn't going to sound any better!...^Ivan
