• If by splice you mean use an additional length of speaker wire, yes - since the speakers aren't hardwired into the back of the main console, all you have to do is twist the extra speaker wire's ends around the matching ends of the speakers' built-in wires and then insert them into the appropriate hookups in the back of the console.
