“Is this stereo designed for the 4 pieces to "snap" together in order to carry/move it around like the old systems did? Or are the 4 pieces loose, and you have to detach the speaker wires for each, carry them separately, and reattach the speaker wires?”

The LG XBOOM 700W 2.1ch Mini Shelf System with Subwoofer and Bluetooth®, Model # CM4590 os a "Shelf System" and it is not designed for portability so the Subwoofer, two front speakers and the main unit do not snap together so it can be carried. Those are all separate components...^IFV
