“does this unit have an optional 110 v plug where it may be continually played and not have to be recharged? I am looking for a speaker for my nightstand to pair with my tv that will play continually.”

No it doesn't. It doesn't even come with a power supply at all, just a USB cord that they expect you to have a wall wart that already works with USB
