I don't have a screen protector but as long as it's not too thick, you should be fine. You should go to the store and see if it fits.

I wouldn't recommend it. It's already a really tight squeeze. My advice would be to buy the Lifeproof Nuud case! It's an open screen so the glass protector that's on it already will protect it. I had a 5s and I did it, it fit perfectly!

I tried it on mine and it doesn't work very well at all. It makes it very hard to text and dial because your finger doesn't make contact with the touch screen.
