• It is not necessary as the case completely covers the phone. When I returned my corporate phone when I upgraded, it was in pristine condition!

• The built in screen protector works just fine.... no need for separate protector. That would be overkill...

• With this case you don't need a screen protector. It has one already. The Lifeproof "naked" is the one that needs a screen protector
