• No it should be fine :) cuz u should try to do the water test before putting ur phone in to make sure that there is no leakage

• No,it won't mess the phone up at all just don't leave it in the water on purpose and also depending on how deep the water goes like a pool it will be fine but a lake... it's probably a goner. But the case is very protective in water and drops.
