The standard charger plug will work. many new chargers have an extended plug that is easier to use.

My car charger is 3rd party and my back up wall charger is as well. Haven't had a problem using either with it in the case. Sometimes I have to flip the piece over to charge but it does that even without the case, non apple chargers can just be a little testy sometimes but doesn't seem to be affected by the life proof
