Personally I do not recommend this case as it provides no screen protection and as for the gasket seal that's to keep the phone water, splash, and dust resistant, I don't see that seal lasting in the case of the phone being bumped around often if carried in a pocket, bag, purse or if dropped into liquid. EX. falling into a puddle and hitting a rock or the ground of the puddle. Just my opinion though. I have this case for my iPhone 7 Plus and i purchased a $40 screen protector to protect my screen in case of drops or personal stupidity ex. car keys in same pocked as phone. I'm a very active out door person, who goes Hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, running/jogging in the mountains and i hope this case can handle a drop or two once or twice. Usually I go with the Otter Box Defender Series, though I attempted to try LifeProof this time around, even though for all the drops my Otter Box Defender series suffered I never had a problem with it, and unlike the LifeProof Nuud I now own, Otter Box Defender Series cases are built to absorb shocks from drops along with built in screen protection and dust proof, but there not water resistant cases, which pushed me to try LifeProof cases, and the iPhone 7 Plus is only splash/water resistant so i'm happy for all the water resistance i now have, but if your not around water a lot or prone to dropping your phone in liquids you may want to try Otter Box Defender series which is around $60.00 with a built in screen protector.
