No it doesn't. it comes with an option screen protector you can install yourself. The screen isnt covered by any plastic. It has rubber around the edge of screen. So when water hits your screen the rubber keeps it from going inside. Pretty much like the rubber all other water proof cases have these days. I don't trust it enough to jump in the water with it. I have placed it in a cup of water for about 2 minutes and no water entered.
