• There is maybe a .10 of inch difference with cover on.

• It is bulky but gives you a good grip especially if used outdoors.

• I don't think it is too heavy and bulky. It has already saved the i-pad from drops that would have required trips to Apple. I did not purchase the extra warranty because this cover works that well.
