In short let me say no, but let me explain as best as I can. Ironically due to COVID(which limited the inventory), we weren't able to get a center bracket for about three weeks, so we had every other speaker connected. The sound was hit/miss. The majority of the sound comes out of the center. So if a TV show or Movie is cast in Surround sound you will hear nothing except the background and music. But, if it's in stereo mode then you can hear everything clearly and it sounds awesome. Hopefully, this helped.
