Yes you can set it up that way on your smart phone

My solution is Samsung specific and requires the Smartthings home automation hub. The new smart samsungs OLED TV's can be added to your smartthings home automation system as a device. You can then trigger the Lifx Z Strips, also added as a device, to operate on by setting up a simple smart lighting app in the smartthings software. This will trigger the Lifz Z leds to turn on and off when the TV turns on and off.
