Dose this work with CAT 8 cords? null

Cat8 cabling should work, but you're not doing yourself many favors since the switch only supports gigabit speeds. The present device is better used in multi-room homes whereas Cat8 is good for a high end switch in a single room setting due to the limited range issues of a Cat8 cable.
