Hi, Matt. if you are only wanting one device (laptop or PC) to improve its wireless connectivity, then the Linksys WUSB6300 AC1200 can upgrade your laptop or desktop computers to the next-generation 802.11ac standard for higher speeds and better range. However, if there are other devices (tablets or phones) to benefit the Wi-Fi, then you may need to purchase another router or a range extender.
