I have used this modem with my Verizon hot spot and it works. If you want it to work in other countries you probably should check with your provider to see if your hot spot or tethering device is capable of working in those countries you plan to visit.

Some carriers enable this feature automatically and some you have to add it to your plan. Remember if you use this method, it will eat up your cellular data quickly.
