A:Answer For our situation it did, but depending on the original strength of signal as to how much it can boost it. If the original signal is weak, the boost cannot exceed that. Mostly, this is used for a device that doesn't have an internal receiver (it sounds like your laptop does) or what we oldtimers think of as an antenna ... that being said, your best option is to consult a Best Buy Tech and they can recommend what's best in your situation.
