• Yes this is a replacement for the Fios router. You can buy this and return the router that Verizon supplies back to them.

• This unit act as a wifi router, that means you use it if your modem that you get from the internet provider didn’t have the capability to transmit a wifi. So it should work with any modem that need an extra router to have a wifi capability.
