“I need a range extender with an input port for a hard-wired Ethernet cable coming directly from my router. I do not see such an input port in the back view of either the Linksys RE6500 or RE9000, both of which you have suggested.”

• The 6500 that we have has the ethernet plug and I am using it on a desk top computer.
