It will only work better this way with the range extender if the range extender itself is getting a good signal from your main router. When you first hook it up the software will tell you if you are within a good range from the router. If that is good and it's in the green bars, then you should be okay
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That's the exact problem I had and the extender did the trick. Placed half way between the router and my TV and that boosted the signal. No more buffering in the middle of shows.
