Hello. I purchased my own modem/router to use with Xfinity and the Linksys has worked flawlessly with it. My generation did not grow up with technology so for me there is a learning curve with all of this. I think the Geek Squad is great but will only call if I absolutely cannot do it. And check out wirecutters.com for electronic recommendations.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There should be no issue with any ISP. The extender only cares about the wireless network, which the ISP doesn't matter at that point. The ISP only is relevant with the modem. Modem stands for a modulate/demodulate, and basically what that means is that it's turning an analog signal into a digital signal. That's why the modem is ISP specific, because it has to use the correct protocols to modulate and demodulate the signal. Once it gets to the wireless router, it doesn't matter if you have DSL, Fiber, or a Coax running into your home, it's all the same digital signal at that point.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi! There's no known issue for the Linksys RE6500 and Comcast/Xfinity combo. With the right configuration and device placement, the extender should work just fine with the Comcast/Xfinity modem/router.
