How many user connections can this unit support? How many user connections can the AC1200 support? Using in a beauty salon for customers and workers. Apprx 50 users at any given time. Primary router is a Sonicwall.

I was told about 20 but then I added the Nighthawk DST AC1900 router and DST adapter package to the AC 1200 and you can get probably 50 probably a lot more at over 340 speed steady , streaming to handle a security system.

This device can support far more connections than 50, your greater challenge will be your broadband connection and how much bandwidth it allows the users access to.

this should not limit the number of users you can have on it, it acts as a pass through to your router. Your router will have to supply IP addresses to the users attaching so be sure to increase the DHCP range they can access. And better yet if you router can support a guest network do that and keep your customers off your "Work" network.

So far, I have a desktop and a laptop connected to it. Also, I have had at least 2 cell phones connected at the same time. All are wifi. I have not tried an Ethernet connection with it as yet.

50 is too many. The signai will be very poor or non-existant with that many connections. About 10-15 would be the most connections with a reasonable signal.
