Alexyoyo42, Had some of the same problems at first. If your onboard LAN port is from Realtek, this unit seems to not be able to notice the port turning on and connecting. Mine was onboard on a DELL PC. I grabbed a USB to LAN converter and it recognizes that just fine. The book says the light will go solid when it first boots up, but that is not always the case. After it has booted up for 2 minutes, go ahead and try to login to the setup as instructed. Good Luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Alexyoyo42. If the LED indicator of the Linksys RE6500 is blinking amber, then it means that it cannot establish a connection. Try to move it closer to the router and power cycle the extender for isolation. Update us then over email at [email protected] so we can have it checked with our Escalation Engineers. Send along with your contact info and the link of this post, for our reference.
