Not sure, but I have an older home with some brick interior walls and it works great. I was able to place the extender about midway between the router and my back bedroom where I like to use Roku. I was skeptical that it would work. Salesman told me I could return it as long as it was within two weeks. Worth a try.

A range extender will have difficulties in extending your router's wireless signal through physical obstructions especially if they are made of brick, cement or thick walls. The Linksys RE6500 range extender can help but you need to place it in an area away from those obstructions.
