• It shouldn't matter. To use this device your modem should be set up as a "dumb" bridge passing everything through to the router/wap. You may find some of the ISP providers won't want to walk you through using a piece of equipment different than theirs.

• Your ISP doesn't matter with an extender. The extender isn't looking at how the data is routed outside of your home. As long as you have a wireless router set up already, it will take that wireless signal, and then re-transmit it across your home to help extend the range of coverage.
