I’m uncertain of compatibility - but setup was very easy. I was done in 15 mins or less. It’s plug up and select your WiFi to connect. If your WiFi is secure you will need your password - once you set up extender you will need to change WiFi connections of any items you want to connect to it. Also, once connected it’s easy to locate on your WiFi connections ( has same name as current WiFi with extender next to name). I set up mines myself and was so proud afterwards and it works GREAT (I’m in 2 story and was losing WiFi upstairs)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, unitas. The Linksys RE6500 range extender will work with any ISP (Cable, DSL or Fibre) as long as the modem supports Ethernet connection. You can set it up as an access point (wired, with no other cables included, aside from the power and Ethernet), or in extender mode (wirelessly) so long as the Wi-Fi settings of the main source is copied during the setup.
