This device goes to over 300mbs and has two different settings. You have to make sure you set up the system correctly first or just simply restart it and start over just in case. I use my 5G so my priority devices can run smoothly. But as I read more of your connectivity answers, it sounds like it has more to do with your carrier for internet and I'd recommend giving them a call first before restarting your router. The router doesn't make the MBS drop that has to do with either your modem or internet provider.

Just like any other device. if you aren't using it then it isn't connected 100% of the time. That would require you to reconnect and get another IP address issues. Basic Networking 101 on that answer. Hope that helps.
