I didn't plug anything into the router other than the Ethernet connection to the modem. I set up everything wireless. I don't know the limit of wireless connections, but I have three computers, a printer, and two smart phones that communicate with it. In my box, I got the router, a power converter with the needed wall plug and connection to the router, and short Ethernet cable. The router has a USB connection and 4 Ethernet connections in addition to the input connector. Can't answer your question regarding the mbps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need a laptop with wifi enabled to setup this router. Instructions included to guide your step by step. You only need to use ethernet cables to connect your devices if they do not have wifi. You can connect up to 4 computers using the ethernet connections on the back of the router. But if your computers have wifi you won't need to connect them with the ethernet cables. this model is wireless. the only connection you need is to connect this router to your internet modem. To connect to your tv and your other computers and devices you will probably need at least 60 megabits per second from your internet provider, you can call them to find out your speed and to upgrade your speed. I currently have a 100 megabit plan and everything in my home runs smooth with no lag. hope this helped
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Everything you need comes in the box. Use the supplied ethernet cable to hook the router up to your modem. After that you'll have a wireless network and 4 more ethernet ports to use on whatever you wish. As for how many mbps you'll need it depends on what you're doing. If you're streaming movies on several devices at once it'll tax the heck out of any system but this router will process up to 867 Mbps. Your ISP doesn't even give you that much speed. My speed is about 35 Mbps in my house and I can do everything you asked about in your question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need an Ethernet cable to set it up. You have wired ports but the model says WiFi so that means its wireless. In my experience I need 10 mbps to stream movies per device I am watching. We have 50mbps and run three roku boxes a couple computers tablets and phones. Hulu is slower than Netflix and Sling tv is slower than both. They will tell you that's not possible. I have also streamed at 3 mbps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It comes with one Ethernet cable, and a CD. Anything with WiFi capabilities doesn't need to be connected to it thru Ethernet cables. My internet runs between 5 to6 Mbps and I steam movies all the time. A good router like this one will stream as fast via WiFi, as it will if the streaming device is connected. You can also download a cool app for your smart phone to keep tabs on it. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It comes with the router, power cable, and one ethernet cable. There are 4 ports on the back but one is reserved for the internet connection. I don't have any issues with it being wired. I do however, have issues with the signal. As for the mbps, I would say at least 25 down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This router is wireless and wired. You will need some ethernet cables for the PCs unless they are wireless, I am pretty sure the Roku and BluRay can do wireless but to be safe I would get 3 ethernet cables. For media, ethernet is preferred but not required. Minimum internet speed should be 10Mbps. This router can handle any speed you throw at it and you will be able to connect all your wireless devices. Hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you do need RJ45 cables to connect. No you don't need HDMI if you have WiFi one your TV or wireless. I will recommend to use over 30Gb. You can use a splitter if you need more than 4 ports.. I have cable, so I get over 60Gb...I had to pay for it to......close to 60.00 per month..I do love the speed thought....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This router uses a cable connection, an electrical connection and a phone jack. Everything else is wireless at my house. My Roku is just connected to my tv with the HDMI cable that came with it, and to the power strip. The router connects to my computer, printer, iPad wirelessly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not really enough information to answer adequately. If you have cable Internet or fiber then you have enough Internet bandwidth. But if you have DSL from the phone company you will be slow regardless of what wired/wireless device you buy. To be sure I have found the Linksys/Cisco devices to be poor in any case. The AC function really only matters if your devices are AC. Most devices are N (of some nature) and even older devices are G. To make things more complicated older devices are 2.5 Ghs while new smart phones and tables are 5.0. While those will all work fine on an AC router you will NOT realize any of the numbers and throughput listed on the box. Please remember that all devices that can be connected to the Internet as wired (Ethernet cables) should be. Wired connections are always faster and more reliable and less prone to slowdown based on the number of wireless devices in the room. My rule of thumb is that all printers and desktop computers (laptops if possible) and TVs/streaming boxes are wire connected. Only smartphones and tablets should be using your wifi
