Hardwired: there are 4 Ethernet ports on the router. So you can have 4 devices hardwired. Or if you daisy-chain routers (like I do) this uses one of the ports, but gives you 4 more. You can do this as much as you want. Wireless: It should easily be able to handle 6 to 8 devices, but much depends on what they are doing. If you have 4 devices streaming movies at one time you might have a problem... but compared to older routers that I have been replacing it is much better. I have not seen any problems, but I do not think I have had more than 6-8 devices on at one time.

Again it will depend on your internet speed from your provider. I'd match or get a router with a bit more speed than what your provider is giving you so you know your not maxing out the router.
