The difference will only be noticeable if you are connecting with devices that have Wireless AC capabilities. Wireless B - 11mbps, Wireless A & G - 54mbps, Wireless N - 300mbps, Wireless AC - 1,331mbps. Yes, wireless AC is faster than a 1gbps wired connection. It is a pretty amazing world we live in today.
