• I cannot answer regarding the DD-WRT question but the router CAN BE set up as an access point, which was the reason i purchased this item. You can contact Linksys support and they will walk you through the setup for no charge, or you can have them take over your computer and set up your router as an access point for a nominal charge. This router works great as an access point and i highly recommend it.
