I bought one of these in a kit with a range extender a few months back when my primary router decided it was time to fail. If you've read reviews of Linksys' routers, you undoubtedly know that Linksys has a cloud-based feature for controlling your router away from home. I won't rehash about that feature, but it does work pretty well from anywhere that you're connected to the internet. Wired network performance is great, wireless AC performance is great, and wireless N performance is where I expect it to be. Keep in mind that AC1750 is just a number Linksys' marketing department puts on this; it's derived from the AC1300 5GHz theoretical limit and the N450 2.4GHz theoretical limit; I saw around 775mbit/sec on 5GHz and around 130mbit/sec on the 2.4GHz connections. The router was able to keep up with a Google Fiber connection with ease, saturating the connection speed on download after download over direct connections and bittorrent. Both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz range is decent and will give you coverage in a smaller house or any apartment, but don't expect the kind of range you'd get from Linksys' RangeMax line or WRT line, since internal antennas trade off range for style. The USB ports also prove handy for expansion purposes. With a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port, you can easily add storage and wired-only printers to this router that can be shared among all your devices on the network. One other thing about this router is even though Linksys won't advertise it as such, it can be "hacked" easily with alternative firmwares like DD-WRT and Tomato. These alternative firmwares give you additional features that don't come standard with these routers such as VPN endpoint functionality, but they will void your warranty if you install one and the router fails. All in all, the EA6700 is a good value for what it is, made even better if you're not afraid to void your warranty and tinker with it a bit. Even on stock firmware, however, It's definitely an upgrade over what most ISPs give you for a router and worth looking into if you're still using a single-band or older N300 router, as the performance improvements will help your internet experience.

USB not currentlycompatible with Apple OSX 10.12.6

The set-up procedure requires a lengthy firmware update before the router is operational. If you request tecn support from Linksys to assist with the update, there are several billable service plans. You'll be dealing with tech support in India. The assisted firmware update takes about an hour. After the update was installed, the WiFi connection was superb. However, connecting a printer to a USB port requires another software update. Unfortunately the current update from LInksys is not compatible with the current Apple OSX operating system version, so a USB printer connection will not work on a Mac for the time being. Be aware of this glitch if you're planning to connect a USB printer to your Mac.

It was time for an upgrade. I’d had my last Linksys router since the internet was invented. Fast forward to today’s technology and I had to put the old Linksys out of its misery. I have a smart house and this router handles all of my devices easily. The speed is awesome and no buffering when streaming. Didn’t think I would need the remote access until my brother was visiting and needed the guest password. Piece of cake. An added bonus is this router ‘s sleek and elegant design.

I had some B.B. rewards to use, and started looking new routers, Don’t need that fancy, expensive mesh WiFi, I just needed to upgrade my 6 yr old Linksys wireless router... I looked at reviews of several and decided on getting this one. The day I wanted to buy it, it was the deal of the day...wow! I got it for almost half off used some rewards and I have a awesome WiFi router. It was easy to setup since you connect to the router and it walks you through everything.

The router is faster than my old one but it drops connection for less than a second than reconnects. I am using the routers wired connection and have tried adjusting the MTU size but no help. I have read others have the same problem online , when surfing I with get an error message a network change has been detected and I will have to resume all my downloads

Upgraded to this Linksys from an older router that, while putting out strong wi-fi, was beginning to constantly drop the signal. With the AC1750 I have not noticed any drops, have not had to cycle the power a single time and the wi-fi reaches throughout my home. And if I ever do have to cycle the power there is a convenient reset button on the back. All in all, a great upgrade for me.

I gave this unit 4 stars because of it’s features and ease of installation. However when it comes to speed I got the same as my older D-Link wireless N router about 70 download and 5 upload with Charter Internet that goes up to 200 download when connected wired so I returned it and I’m still using my D-Link until it quits.

Very easy to install. Love the dual band. I live in an apartment with lots of cinder block walls and I notice a small drop in signal strength between my living room and the study, but ultimately the router meets all of my needs and is great for handling streaming, phones, and work.
