I can't answer how this router compares to other routers but I set this one Linksys MAX-STREAM AC1750 MU-MIMO Gigabit Wi-Fi Router.up in my basement where my modem is & I can get a strong signal throughout house & even outside to 75+ feet away from house.

However, the actual performance of the router depends on many factors like products used, wireless interference, physical obstructions, and surroundings. It would be difficult for us to compare the EA7300 router to the other 3rd party routers since we're not fully familiar with their specs.
