It depends on placement and interference. However, I believe the answer is yes. The topic of wifi is complex, but this thing does directional broadcasting, so a lot of the wireless packet collision (this is an in depth topic and will make you sad if you try and learn about it - trust me) are no longer an issue. Just make sure it's not shoved in a corner next to the microwave and a cluster of plumbing and you'll be fine. Aim for the middle of the house somewhere. Adding a coax drop is easy, so don't feel constrained to existing plugs.
