Hi, Darren. Since you already have a modem router, you can cascade the Linksys EA7300 to extend the coverage of your wireless network, connect more devices and isolate the network traffic. Reach out to us at [email protected] if you have further questions.

You have to use a direct burial CAT6 cable or run it through a conduit if it is standard CAT6 cable. Connect the cable to one of the LAN ports on the router. You will have to purchase a gigabit switch for the CAT6 cable to connect to in your garage. I would recommend that you get a router that is AC3200 rated or above if you are going to stream video in the garage. Streaming audio takes a lot less bandwidth than streaming video.

This consists of 90 meters (295 ft) of solid "horizontal" cabling between the patch panel and the wall jack, plus 5 meters (16 ft) of stranded patch cable between each jack and the attached device
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Are you talking about an Ethernet cable. If so it will work as long as the cable is strong enough to be buried. Once the router is connected you should have enough WiFi coverage in the garage.
