Let's break this down in terms of what you think you are observing. Think of internet speed as a tube. The larger tube that you have the more data that you have the larger amount of stuff you can send through it. You stated you bought 100 mbps from your ISP. However, you are seeing that you are only getting 45 mb/s. There is a factor of latency that is taken in to account when transferring data. Best way to think of this is a large semi-truck full of DVD's is being transported, the amount of DVD's is quite substantial but the time required to get to the destination is quite large. Your PC is able to pull 45 mbps from the remote location and then get it back to you at your location. You aren't guaranteed 100 mbps at every situation. It is also dependent on what type of protocol you are using to get the data. Upgrading the router at this time would not make a difference. I personaly have 1 Gbps from my ISP and it roughly stays around 500-600 depending on what provider I am using. However, if I get something from a server/computer inside my home or on the same internet is is upwards of 800-900 (depending on how fast my system can get the data to me).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes that was the same problem I was having and the bottle neck was on the WiFi Router and this was corrected with this device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.a couple things you should consider: 1. does your pc/laptop have 802.11n or 802.11ac compatible wifi built-in or attached adapter. if not, then it's going to be slower than the router can provide. 2. consider your distance from the router to the computer. the farther away, and the more obstacles between your computer and the router, the slower your connection will be. 3. try testing your internet speed at a different location with a known-working equivalent wifi router. If your speed is much faster, then perhaps you may have misconfigured or have a faulty router. these are basic troubleshooting steps that should help anyone with your situation. I hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Plug your cable modem directly into your PC and then check your internet speed. I doubt the Linksys is the issue. By plugging your modem directly into the PC you can rule out the router as the issue. Also, check your internet speed from you phone with the Speedtest app. This would be another way to test your router. The problem could be the PC or your cable modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That can depend on the limitations of the network interface card you have on your PC.
