No, it isn't. You will have to either buy a modem or get one from your Internet Service Provider (ISP). To set up your connection to the Internet, there are four components that have to be connected: 1. The modem needs to connect to the cable TV system with an RG6 coaxial cable. 2. The router needs to connect to the modem with an Ethernet cable. 3. Your computer needs to connect to the router, either through a wireless connection or with an Ethernet cable. The folks at BestBuy can tell you what modem you'll need, and they also carry all the cables you'll need. Sometimes the most difficult step is connecting your modem to the cable TV component. Some televisions have an output cable connection on the back of the TV. If your TV has one, then all you have to do is connect one end of the RG6 cable to the back of the TV and the other end to your modem. If it doesn't, you'll have to put a splitter somewhere in the cable and connect the RG6 cable to that. If you're not familiar with this kind of work, you should consider having it done professionally. I would first check with the Geek Squad at BestBuy to see if they do this kind of work, If they don't, then your ISP can provide those services. Also, there are lots of YouTube videos that demonstrate how to connect these components. Good Luck to You, Shadetree Sam
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a router only. You will need a DSL or Cable modem depending on your provider. You can get a combo modem/router, just check with your provider for the type you need.
