Hi, Red. The Linksys EA7450 supports Bridge Mode, Wireless Repeater or Wireless Bridge mode configuration, and should work with your existing modem-router (gateway).

If you are referring to an AT&T U-verse modem/router, the U-verse device should be set to Bridge Mode to avoid double NAT issues.
