It is possible, but you would essentially be creating 2 separate LANs, the one with you NETGEAR, and then the one with your Linksys, this may also cause some slow down (may not be noticeable) because of the extra overhead going through 2 routers. Also Wi-Fi gaming will ALWAYS be slower than direct connect, so depending on how you are planning to use this, it may not improve anything anyway.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it's possible. You'll need to change some settings in the nighthawk or the linksys so you don't have conflictions and complications
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am sure you could, but I do not see why. They are almost identical in thier specs and the Nighthawk has better reviews than the Linksys. You already have a very excellent router in the Nighthawk AC1900. If you need faster speeds you will need to upgrade you service from your isp provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That would be a wireless router on top of a wireless modem/router. No sense broadcasting two signals on top of each other, even if on different channels. I'd change to an Arris Surfboard SB6141 or the SB6183 for your modem and hook that to the Nighthawk. You can also disable the wireless aspect of the AC1900 and use it strictly as a modem/outer and patch an ethernet lead from that to the Nighthawk.
I would recommend:
