• You should use a docsis modem with this router. Check with your ISP as to whether it requires 3.0 or 3.1 technology.

• This would depend on your Internet Service Provider (ISP). As long as the router outputs a RJ-45 (Ethernet) connection, it should work fine. Only thing I can think of is not going with a Modem / Router device. Otherwise you'll have a router behind a router, which I've seen work, but not the ideal way to connect it.
