• This router absolutely does not weigh 20 pounds. Maybe one or two pounds at most. It is what I would call typical weight for a router and I have (over the years) had a few.

• It doesn't. The router out of the box weighs less than a pound. My guess is wherever that is listed is a filler number. I bought mine right off the shelf.
