“The info in the overview says it needs to be plugged directly into modem. I have a device plugged into modem for external items like garage door, WiFi , phone device, etc. it is a name brand. Can I plugged this router into this versus modem? No room.”

• Yes, you should connect this directly to the modem or main ONT box providing internet to you house. This will act as the brain and allow you to manage any/all devices plugged into it. Then you can connect various hubs to split the signal to this router.
