• Yes. Our routers, including the Velop Mesh Systems, should be connected to a modem so they can acquire internet connection.

• This is the WiFi Access Point Router. You will still need a Modem of some type to connect to you ISP, your best bet is to contact your ISP to see what modem you will need. (Cable, DSL, FiOS, Uverse, etc.) This unit will then plug into the modem and provide the WiFi access to your devices.
