• Hi. That may affect the router's overall performance. Just ensure it is properly configured and installed in an open location and above floor level.

• Depends on the square footage of your home. If you are under 2000 square feet then no. If you are over 2000 square feet then I would purchase a WIFI extender for the low signal area in your home.
