Actually that distance can be covered by any ethernet cable, but your internet speed will determine what is needed. However, to answer your question "best ethernet cable" you must go with the Cat-6a. See the attached chart thanks to How-To-Geek.com.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cat 5e has a range of over 300 feet with a capacity of 1,000 Mbps and is reasonably priced. Cat 6 has about the same range but with a capacity of 10,000 Mbps. So you'd probably be fine with 5e but if you get a good price on 6 it would be more "future proof" (I hate that term but you know what I mean ;) ) Honestly I'd get the 5e unless you think you'll be needing 1,000+ Mbps transfer speeds locally (file transfers from computer to computer, computer to local server, phone to computer, etc.) because ISPs probably won't be offering internet speeds of more than 1,000 Mbps service anytime soon. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/tripp-lite-100-n001-series-rj-45-snagless-molded-cat-5e-patch-cable-black/4541432.p?skuId=4541432
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cat6 is really what's most important it supports the full transfer speed for 10/100/1000. Really at that point the only delay would be from your internet service provider.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recommend the 100 ft Jad AOL Technologies Cat6 flat ether net cable from Amazon! Gives great speed and with the cable being flat it runs easily under rugs or you can clip them down with the clips provided for under $18.00. Highly recommended.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Any Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6e will work just fine. You only have to worry if the length is longer than 100 Meters or 330 feet (give or take). Depending on the modem, the connect speed will be 100Meg or 1 Gig.
