It should... I've got a 1G fiber connection through Cox and I just disconnected their 1700AC router and swapped it out. As long as they've got a modem or terminal box for the fiber that gives you access to a Cat 5 port you should be able to just connect it and go (with fiber, I didn't even have to call support to have them reset the service once or update the MAC address).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My DSL modem has a built-in router and I bypass it, even removing the two antennae, and go directly from it to the router. I'm sure the router is more powerful than the one in the modem. However, I'm not familiar with your modem, but why not give it a try.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the supplied modem/router has pass through capabilities it will work fine. Avoid a double NAT as this snows things down and causes protocol issues with some services.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can go into the settings on just about any combo modem/router and turn off the wifi to add your own router and set up a better wireless signal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as you have a modem and a router, then yes. You can set this router as your default access point for the network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it should work. i know that in most companies, one can turn off the wifi in the provided router to use a personal router. this router can definitely handle 1GBPS speeds. as a matter of fact it can handle 5+gbps speeds. Also, to my knowledge there isn't ISP restrictions on wireless routers. They just run on the existing internet signal and retransmit, so it should definitely work with your ISP.

The numbers are a little misleading but you should get about 100 mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and about 400 mbps on both of the 5 GHz bands. So if you have 3 devices connected (1 on 2.4 GHz and 2 on each of the 5 GHz) you will get a total throughput of about 900 mbps. Considering your internet max is 1,000 mbps (1 Gbps), this is the perfect router for you! These are all real world usage numbers that I get with this router and I too have 1 Gbps fiber. As to the question of using both routers or turning off the other one, yes you can do either. For me I actually leave both routers turned on and connect our computers to the Linksys and our phones to the other slower one. But I'd suggest just connecting everything to this router because it does an excellent job of directing traffic between multiple devices all at the same time. Overall I think the premium cost for this router is absolutely worth it for anyone with Gigabit service. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but if you have a gb connection you should know this. Otherwise you are buying more speed than you would need.
