“I have Fios, do I need to purchase anything other than this Router to connect and make it work when I disconnect my Fios router which I would consider GARBAGE”

I don’t know for sure as I never used FIOS. I would assume the FIOS internet connection appliance would have a port to connect a category 5 lan wire to/from router internet port. Then you use the App to setup the router. Should be very easy. We have spectrum cable and our router is connected to the provided modem appliance with a lan cable. I can tell you the EA9500 so far is working great. It’s not the first Linksys router we owned so the setup was very easy for me. I use the same network name and password so all the devices reconnect without resetting them. We have about 20 devices connected on our network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My Fios system had a modem and slow router. The Fios router is connected to the fios modem with an internet cable and also a coax cable. You will have to call Fios to reconfigure their modem to work with the linksys via the internet cable only. The new speeds are substantially faster
