there is no comparison the ea9500 is 20 steps beyond the WRT. I have the EA9500 i promise its not even a contest
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To compare both routers, you may check out the following links: http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=178062 http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=143610
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There really is no comparing. WRT1900 is going to be a base modle router, if you are not doing any sort of streaming, or dont plan to, and dont have alot of devices, then a 1900 series router will be ok.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a WRT1900AC that got fried from a lighting strike so I had to replace it. My family was thrilled because they were sick of the regular downtime and reboots the WRT1900AC required. When I say regular I mean maybe monthly at the most, but it always seemed like it was during "prime" time. The AC9500 cost way more, but I have had 100% uptime for the last 3 months I have owned it. I would say the range is better, but the WRT1900AC was no slouch. Linksys does have a great iOS app and I would say it was a little more user friendly and a nicer UI overall than other products I've tried.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely no comparison as far as what you can do with the Ea 9500 Max Stream. Look if you have the money buy both and do a comparison at home yourself and you'll get the results I got by taking back the WTR 1900 I've had both and returned the lower performance 1900 within the 15 days on the return limit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check my review of the ea9500 comparing it to the wrt1900ac. In short, the ea9500 is much more stable but generally the same performance with existing devices. Have had it two months and other than our Mac mini, our family of four with 8 modern iOS devices and two MacBooks cannot tell performance difference.... other than the ea9500 being rock solid not requiring reboots. That might change in the future as more devices have mimo capabilities. The ea9500 is very future looking hence the 3 year warranty.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are streaming 4k video, have more than 10-15 devices on your network (printers count as two and smart phones also count) and live in a large house, than this is for you. However if you live in a medium house, have 5-10 device and do not do that much 4k streaming I would go with the 1900. Also if your internet speed is 200Mbps or fewer you really only need a 1900.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had nothing but problems with the two wrt1900acs routers. Tech support couldn't help either. Both were returned. Replace them with the EA9500 which has been consistent high speed with excellent range. Spend the extra money if you want trouble free internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree totally with Rob. There is no comparison. The LINKSYS EA9500 AC5400 Tri-Band router is an absolute beast. Coverage is unbeatable. Going with the AC1900 is a huge step backwards.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I compared the EA9500 to the WRT1900ACS and the EA9500 spanked the 1900ACS on all fronts. Also compared it to the EA8500 which was bad out-of-the-box. You get what you pay for.
